During the course each delegate will be required to complete a major exercise worksheet which relates to dealing with the issue of a bridge. The exercise will relate to:
Identifying risks related to the current bridge
Event management related to the collapse of the current bridge
Recovery plan for the collapse of the current bridge
Identify risks related to the construction of the new bridge
Three higher order risks related to the new bridge construction and their treatment plans (recorded in a risk register) related to the construction of the new bridge
Event management and recovery plans should the new bridge collapse

Before the course each delegate will be asked to complete a Pre-Course Briefing Form to determine their individual objectives for attending the course. These objectives will be used by the tutor to give on-target training that is focused on the individual delegates.

At the end of the course each delegate will be asked to complete a Personal Development Plan that can be used as part of future appraisals and that will also be an important tool for management reference.
