Who Should Attend?
Those people who are responsible for any type of event or public occasion such as: conferences, seminars, sports competitions, product launches, exhibitions, gala dinners, musical events, etc. Learn vital planning techniques that will help you to plan events better, but that can also be used in other areas of your work to help you to meet deadlines and co-ordinate projects.
About the Programme
Events - big or small - are successful when they run smoothly, adequate resources are provided for the participants, and attendees’ expectations are fully met. How many times have you been disappointed that there are too few / too many people, long queues for catering, nowhere to purchase a drink, insufficient lavatories provided,or nowhere to sit? When it comes to media coverage the amount of publicity generated often does not necessarily depend upon high budget advertising. Working with the media can be rewarding for your organization, and can often be done in a cost effective way. Learn to maximise opportunities for coverage, through shrewd planning and co-ordination. The key to good event management is planning and preparing effectively, providing for contingencies, and having a flexibleand adaptable approach.

It is impossible to anticipate every eventuality, but this course will give a thorough grounding of what the event manager should expect.
Before the course each delegate will be asked to complete a Pre-Course Briefing Form to determine their individual objectives for attending the course. These objectives will be used by the tutor to give on-target training that is focused on the individual delegates.
At the end of the course each delegate will be asked to complete a Personal Development Plan that can be used as part of future appraisals and that will also be an important tool for management reference.
