Senior Management Associate, Spearhead Training, U.A.E.
Hibo is a U.K. national, with a great deal of experience in the development and training of delegates from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities. She is a professionally trained teacher and trainer, with a post-graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Professional Practice, from the University of Bolton, in 2009. Her professional qualifications, combined with her commercial retail experience, have given her the practical knowledge and skills to take on a number of challenging training assignments. She has lived and worked in three different countries - the United Kingdom, the U.A.E. and Malaysia, which has given her an essential understanding of working in a multi-cultural training environment.
Hibo believes firmly in encouraging people to use their own powerful and personal experiences as tools for self development and growth. She feels strongly that within each individual are all the necessary means for success, and loves to work with, and support, people to help them achieve their full potential.
Hibo graduated from John Moores University, Liverpool, with a Masters in Pharmacy, in 2003. After qualifying as a registered pharmacist in 2004, she then worked as a clinical pharmacist at Salford Royal NHS Trust, a busy U.K. teaching hospital. In this post she had key responsibilities that included training nursing and medical staff in ‘medicines management’, as well as using her excellent communication and negotiation skills to counsel and treat patients from many different backgrounds.
In 2007, she moved to take up a teacher practitioner role with the School of Pharmacy at the University of Manchester, in the U. K. This challenging role involved teaching on the Masters programme in Pharmacy. In this capacity, Hibo developed her academic skills, by teaching and training students in varied environments, from hospital wards to large lecture theatres.
As well as using her training and teaching skills, Hibo also gained invaluable commercial experience by working in various community pharmacies across the U.K. This gave her a thorough understanding of the importance of front line customer service, and how critical it is to ensure the customer always has a positive experience, no matter what their need or background.
In 2010 Hibo moved to Malaysia to take up a key academic post as a senior lecturer at MAHSA (Medical and Allied Health Science Academy) University College, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this post she was responsible for designing and delivering key training programmes for staff. This involved using her diagnostic skills and ability to put together tailored materials to meet staff development needs.
Through these training programmes, Hibo was instrumental in the successful accreditation in 2010 of the University’s Masters course, by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
Following her successful assignment in Malaysia, Hibo decided to move back to the U.A.E. where her family are based, and joined Spearhead Training in 2011.
