B.Sc. (Hons), PG Dip, N.L.P. (Prac)
Senior Management Associate, Spearhead Training, U.A.E.

Lucy is a U.K. national with a proven track record in Human Resource Management and Training and Development. She has a B.Sc. (Honours) in Industrial Relations from the University of Bath, and a post-graduate diploma in Personnel Management, accredited by CIPD (the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, U.K.)

Lucy started her career in London working for V. W. J. Ltd., a financial head-hunters organization, as Personnel Administrator, where she gained extensive experience in personnel systems and procedures, and recruitment and selection. To develop her H.R. experience in a larger organization she moved to a generalist role at the (FSA) Financial Services Authority. Her role there involved coaching and training managers on employee relations, counselling, and advising employees, and writing H.R. policies and procedures.

In 2001, she joined Visa International as an H.R. Officer. Her responsibilities included: working closely with line managers to deal with disciplinary matters, staff grievances, retrenching staff, and improving team morale and performance. After several successful years as an H.R. generalist, she then specialised in Compensation and Benefits and became Head of Reward for the Central Europe, Middle East and Africa region of Visa. In this role, she managed the annual performance and compensation cycle, and designed and implemented policies and procedures relating to salaries, benefits and allowances.

In 2007, Lucy was head-hunted for a senior role at Standard Chartered Bank, Dubai, specialising in Reward and Performance Management. At the time of rising employee costs and high turnover, Lucy travelled throughout the Gulf, designing strategy and managing extensive change for this multi-national Bank. In this role she also managed and chaired the H.R. Forum for the Retail and Investment Banking sectors in the U.A.E. aimed at promoting H.R. best practice in the region.

In 2009, Lucy decided to follow her passion for developing others by moving full time into coaching and training. As a successful trainer she designed, developed and delivered self development courses, and coached individual clients on issues relating to their work and personal life.

Lucy’s life-long interest for personal development has motivated her to become an N.L.P. (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner, as well as a Coach in Personal Development. These qualifications have increased her skills in understanding, communicating with, and training others.

Lucy joined Spearhead Training as a Senior Management Associate in 2011. As well as having key knowledge of her subject matter, and a wealth of practical experience, Lucy brings great positivity and inspiration into the training room. She lives by her personal philosophy of constant self improvement for herself and others.
